TATUL PETROSYAN

Tatul Petrosyan was born in 1962 in the city of Yerevan, Armenia. 
In 1978 Graduated from Yerevan № 68 secondary school.
In 1980-1982 – Served in the Soviet Army.
In 1988 – Graduated from the Yerevan State University the Department of Law with the qualification of a lawyer.
In 1989-1989 – Held the position of an Investigator at the Investigative Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ijevan.
In 1990-1991 – Held the position of an Investigator at the Investigative Division for Investigation of Road Traffic Accidents of the Internal Affairs Department of the city of Yerevan.
In 1991-1992 – Worked as an Inspector of the Inspectorate of the Staff Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, afterwards as a Senior Inspector on special assignments. 
In 1992-1995 – Held the position of the Deputy Head of the Regional Internal Affairs Department of Etchmiadzin, meanwhile the Head of the Investigative Division.
In 1995-1996 – Worked as the Head of Investigation Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
In 1996-1997 – Held the position of the Head of Regional Investigative Division of Lori of the General Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
In 1997-2003 – Worked as a Senior Investigator of the Second Department (Supervisory-Methodological and Analytical) of the General Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
In 2003-2007 – Held the position of a Senior Investigator of the First Department (Supervisory-Methodological and Analytical) of the General Investigative Department of the RA Police, later held the position of the Head of the Analytical Division of the same Department.
In 2007-2011 – Held the position of the Deputy Head of the First Department (Supervisory-Methodological and Analytical) of the General Investigative Department of the RA Police, meanwhile held the position of the Head of the Supervisory-Methodological Division. 
In 2011-2013 – Held the position of the Head of the Legal Department of the RA Police. 
In 2013-2014 – Held the position of the First Department (Supervisory-Methodological and Analytical) of the General Investigative Department of the RA Police, later on held the position of the First Deputy Head of the General Department of the RA Police.
In 2014-2018 – Held the position of the Head of the General Department of Control over Activity of the Territorial Investigative Departments of the Central Office of the RA Investigative Committee.
 Participated in working group and commissions work created for the purpose of judicial-legal reforms in the RA Constitutional Court, the RA Security Council, the RA Ministry of Justice, and the RA Police.
 He contributed to the various changes and amendments made in the RA Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes and in a number of other legal acts.
 He participated in the drafts development process of the RA Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes. 
 He has the rank of Major General of Justice.
 Awarded the Order of Mkhitar Gosh and the Medal of Honor of the National Assembly.
 He was awarded with the title “Honorable Investigator”.
 He taught at “Gladzor” University and at the RA Police Academy.
 He is an author of scientific works concerning the legal sphere.
 He is fluent in Russian language.
 He is married and has two children.
